Mapping Detail
Mapping Detail is an important aspect of our projects at BBG. Level of Detail (LOD) is the first consideration when approaching a project, in addition to the limits of the mapping. This dictates our approach to data collection, mapping production, and the final deliverable. One of the many added benefits of relying heavily on LiDAR as a starting point is that the Level of Detail and project limits can typically be changed later on in the process. This is sometimes needed once the design process commences and LiDAR allows for those changes without any return visits to the field. LiDAR allows BBG to make our mapping files simple or complex.
